I guess this is a story in two parts, me as a Mortgage Broker and me the individual. At this point in time I have almost eighteen years of experience in the Finance Industry. I believe I have the background and knowledge to see you through your loan process, but also the honesty and strength of character to be open and truthful with you on a personal and business level also.
My goal is to help you experience the loan transaction in a stress free manner, while putting you with a loan and lender that meets all of your requirements. I want to walk you through the whole loan process and be your point of contact throughout, even after the loan has settled. I want a client for life so for better or for worse, I’ll tell you exactly what I think.
To achieve this, I believe you need to be comfortable with me as a person, not just a mortgage broker.
To give you a little idea of my past working life, prior joining The Mortgage Gallery and becoming a Mortgage Broker, I spent a decade with R&I Bank/BankWest, from Branch Operation and Management to Consumer Lending so I definitely have a strong knowledge ofthe Finance Industry.
I’ve also spent several years in retail and retail management to give me a more rounded sense of business and finance. It all helps.
More personally, I’m married to Trish and have two wonderful sons, Matt & Sam, all of whom I adore. I’ve lived in the Rockingham area since 1982 when we as a family emigrated from the UK. I have always had an affection for the area so have never felt a need to leave.
My passions outside of my family and work are cars/bikes/music and fitness. Simple pleasures but they work for me. It’s funny how our life goes through cycles, but I’m currently in a place where I’m being reminded of the simpler things that make me truly happy. The simple emotions of what makes you feel good rather than getting distracted by big shiny things that are quite hollow.
Currently and previously I’ve been involved in sponsoring and helping the following, Koorana Primary School, Waikiki Primary School, Port Kennedy Primary School, Endeavour Primary School, Rockingham Hockey Club and Rockingham Rugby Club, Port Kennedy Safety House Association, Make a Wish Foundation, Heartkids WA, Cancer Council of WA and many others. I do have a genuine interest and in some ways passion for my community, and I like to think it shows.
My testimonials on my website also show that I have a strong commitment to provide a genuine level of customer service, rather than something that is not real. I do genuinely desire to listen and help which drives my ability to find the appropriate loan product to meet your needs.
If I had to describe the focus of what I do and who I am, it would be that, “I genuinely care”.
You can always count on me, to be me.
